It's no longer a contest.

I've been reading a shitload of Jack Reacher books lately, trying to compare him to Joe Pike.

I've come to the conclusion that you can't.

You just can't compare the two.

Joe Pike is a side kick.

Jack Reacher is a lead dog.

If you were to compare two people it would be Elvis Cole and Jack Reacher, and I think it would end up being a tie because while I think Reacher is a bit more tougher than Cole, Cole is a bit smarter. It's a draw.

Anywho, inWithout Fail, Reacher is brought on to protect the Vice-President elect from potential assassins. It's not a bad book, but I've definitely read better Reacher adventures.

I'm not sorry I read it, though.
